By booking a session or using our guidance services, you acknowledge and agree to everything below. Please read it carefully — we wrote it to be understood, not to hide behind.

Guidance only — not licensed representation.
WindyCity Immigration Buddy is an independent information and guidance service. We are not a licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), not a law firm, and not affiliated with the Government of Canada or IRCC. Nothing we provide is legal advice or professional immigration representation. We do not submit applications on your behalf or act as your authorised representative.

No outcome guarantee.
We do not and cannot guarantee visa approvals, permit extensions, permanent residence, citizenship, processing times, or any other outcome. Every decision rests solely with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and other competent authorities. Any timelines, eligibility assessments, or route recommendations we share are informed opinions based on the information you give us — not promises.

Honest submission is your biggest asset.
To receive the fairest final decision from IRCC and to maintain our credibility, we require honesty in everything you share with us and everything you submit. We will never encourage, assist with, or tolerate misrepresentation, false documents, or withheld facts. Misrepresentation can result in refusal and a multi-year ban on entering Canada. If we discover dishonesty, we will end the engagement without refund.

Accuracy of your information.
Our guidance is only as good as the information you provide. You are solely responsible for the completeness and accuracy of everything you tell us and everything you file. You should independently verify all requirements on the official IRCC website before submitting anything.

AI-assisted guidance.
Parts of this service use artificial intelligence to help analyse your situation and surface possible routes. AI can be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. AI output is a starting point for discussion, not a decision, and it must not be relied on as legal advice. Immigration rules change frequently — always confirm current requirements with official sources.

Our fees.
Our guidance and appointment booking are currently offered free of charge. We do not collect any payment from you, and we never collect government application fees on your behalf. If we introduce fees in future, they will be clearly stated before you commit.

Limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WindyCity Immigration Buddy and its operators are not liable for any refusal, delay, loss, cost, or damage arising from your application, your reliance on our guidance, or any AI-generated content. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the amount of fees you paid us.

Privacy and confidentiality.
We treat the information you share as confidential and use it only to guide your case. We do not sell your personal information. Do not send us original identity documents or payment card details over chat.

When to seek a licensed professional.
For complex matters — inadmissibility, prior refusals, misrepresentation findings, appeals, detention, or humanitarian cases — we will tell you plainly that you should engage a licensed RCIC or Canadian immigration lawyer. Recommending that is part of our service.
